Understanding Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) in Children

This interactive workshop is designed for parents and carers who want to understand Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and how it influences language development.
Over two hours, you will:
● Learn what GLP is and how it differs from analytical language learning
● Explore a brief overview of the stages of GLP and typical patterns of language development
● Gain insight into how to identify whether your child may be using GLP
● Learn practical strategies to support your child’s language development at home, including modelling and scaffolding techniques
● Reflect on your child’s strengths, share experiences, and ask questions in a supportive environment
Led by a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, this workshop combines theory and practical guidance, empowering parents to better understand their child’s unique language profile and support communication in a way that is effective and confidence-building.
